Starstruck: Time After Time

When was the last time you went to see a movie or watched a TV show that wasn't set in New York City? A few of my favorites include Breakfast at Tiffany's, Spiderman, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, Elf, Gossip Girl, Revenge, Glee, and Gotham.

During my lunch break today I stumbled upon the set of something called "Time After Time." I didn't see any actors' trailers, only yards of black cords and colossal light fixtures being adjusted and moved. The plastic signs tacked up along the street informed me that whatever it was--TV, film, reality show, commercial--was being taped on 17th Street between 5th & 6th Avenues beginning at 8pm this evening.

So, obviously, I Googled it.

It turns out, "Time After Time" is a new show that ABC is in the process of filming. According to my research (thanks Google), the show is based on the book and 1979 film of the same name. I won't go into boring, plot-summarizing detail. (You can read more about it here.)

BUT...

Yes, it's cool to see film sets on an random Friday in March. And yes, it's cool that the set is literally a block away from my office. The coolest part, however, and what makes this particular set blog worthy, is it's leading man: Josh Bowman.

Josh Bowman

Don't know him? He played Daniel Grayson on Revenge for 4 seasons (until--spoiler alert--they injustly killed him off). He is handsome and English (swoon) and very talented. And it is for these reasons why I may stay at work late tonight, casually walk by the set after 8pm, and try to make eyes with Josh.

Because, why not? This is New York...anything could happen.
