Wednesday, March 23, 2016, will go down in history as one of the most unbelievably awesome days ever. Three pretty amazing things happened to me yesterday (in order of amazingness, saving the best for last):

1) I have Internet! It sounds pretty pitiful compared to the rest of the list, but after two weeks without Internet (and, therefore, no access to Netflix), I did a little happy dance when I finally was able to pick up on an episode of the Borgias. It took forty minutes on the phone with Time Warner Cable and several equipment reboots, but I'm happy to say I am back online :)

2) Turns out, the neighborhood where I work--Chelsea--is a popular location for film and TV shoots. In only two weeks, I've stumbled upon two different sets within the same block. It's pretty cool to see a set even when it's just cables and lights. But what is really cool is seeing one of the leading actresses taking a break between scenes; the director filming a scene inside a car; and the names of the show's stars on their appointed trailers. Season 2 of Mr. Robot (USA)--a show I've never seen, but I've definitely heard of it--set up camp outside my offices on 17th Street yesterday, so of course I acted like a complete tourist and took pictures of everything from the trailers to the set sign.

And last, but definitely not least...

3) "We're at Lord & Taylor on 5th Avenue, the 4th floor celebrating the launch of the new MPG fitnesswear line, and I love you Julianne Hough!" That's what I had to say while looking directly into the camera. Before Julianne Hough came out for the meet-and-greet, a cameraman interviewed unassuming fans (myself included) waiting in line to meet the singer-dancer-actress who was helping launch a new line of activewear as brand ambassador. I have no idea if or how they'll use the footage, but I am grateful for the WSLS tapings I've charted over the last year, because at least it wasn't completely out of my element. (Although, if Julianne ever sees it, I might die.) I remember telling several people that I would love to meet Julianne Hough (star of Grease Live!, dancing pro, and my personal fit-spiration), and when the opportunity arose to go to Lord & Taylor on a random Wednesday in March, of course I took it. We only interacted for a few seconds, smiled for the camera, and said our goodbyes. But it only took a few seconds to reaffirm my opinion of "Jules": she is beautiful, gracious, crazy fit, and definitely someone I will continue to admire, albeit from afar.

High on meeting on of my favorite celebs and just the feeling of being in New York on a beautiful spring evening, I snapped a few pictures on my phone before heading home. I feel bad for Today, because Yesterday is a hard act to follow.
