Off the Grid

Make a note...as of tomorrow, 6:30 p.m. EST, I will officially be off the grid.

This means that I will no longer have access to email, Facebook, text message, or old-fashioned phone calls (including FaceTime). With the rare exception of Instagram and Snapchat (where available), I will spend the next two weeks blissfully unaware of anything that is irrelevant to afternoon tea in London, waving the Roman ruins goodbye as I sail away into the Mediterranean, what grapes are used to make wine in Mykonos, and which dress I'm going to wear for dinner.

This vacation is years in the making, and I for one have been looking forward to getting away for a while--not just out of the city (I love New York!). But away, to somewhere new and exciting and beautiful and full of adventure. Somewhere with fruity umbrella drinks and blue sky for days, coffee-flavored gelato and yoga in the middle of the ocean. If all goes to plan, I will, in two weeks' time, return to the city I love tanner, more relaxed, and with an extra thousand pictures to add to my photo albums.
